I seriously need to update more, but I always forget about it. Lots of stuff going on right now. Learning to drive, trying to do two publishing projects, working with people out of state, and learning to cook.

The last of those is proving to be most difficult. I seem to be destined to burn every food I touch. My sister is coming over to the house to eat with us tomorrow for the first time in years, so I'm determined to make something delicious for her.

I'm probably going to end up just baking peanut butter cookies, though. Ah well.

I've been writing and doodling a lot lately. The warm summer air permeates my skull and provides a sort of creative nourishment. I've been outside a lot, which the mosquitoes seem to love. They took down the big pool in the backyard. Now I've been running around at the place where it once stood. There are roots everywhere and it looks like a little patch of beach because of all the sand.

I'm excited about going to university next month. One of my high school administrators told me I got the highest English AP test scores in the school, so I get college credit already. That takes at least one class worth of pressure off. Still, I'm all nervous energy when I think about starting college. Everything is finding its place.
